In a significant step towards improving urban hygiene and environmental sustainability, the Bokaro district administration has announced a city-wide cleanliness drive scheduled from April 14 to April 22. The initiative aims to enhance sanitation standards, promote public awareness, and encourage community participation in keeping the city clean.
The campaign will focus on cleaning public spaces, roads, residential areas, and water bodies, including rivers and dams in and around Bokaro. Special emphasis will be placed on proper waste disposal, reducing plastic usage, and maintaining hygiene in marketplaces and crowded areas.
Officials have stated that various departments, including municipal authorities, health workers, and volunteers, will actively participate in the drive. Schools, colleges, and local organizations are also being encouraged to take part in awareness programs and cleanliness activities.
Speaking about the initiative, district officials highlighted that maintaining cleanliness is not only the responsibility of the administration but also of every citizen. The campaign aims to instill a sense of responsibility among residents and promote long-term behavioral change.
Awareness rallies, door-to-door campaigns, and community engagement programs will be conducted to educate people about waste segregation and environmental protection. Authorities have also planned to monitor the progress of the drive to ensure effective implementation.
